The high-pressure system covers upper Thailand while the monsoon trough lies across the Gulf and the South. Isolated heavy rains are forecast in the South while less rains and isolated thundershowers are forecast in the upper country especially in the western part of the North and the Central. For the Andaman Sea and the Gulf, waves will be higher than 2 meters high in thundershower areas. In addition, during 9-13 October 2026, the another high pressure system from China will extend to cover the Northeast and the South China Sea leading to the monsoon trough move down to lies across the East, the upper South. Meanwhile the moderate southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. More rain with isolated heavy to very heavy rains are forecast in the East, the Central including Bangkok and vicinity and the South. During this period, people are advised to closely monitor weather forecasts and people in the affected areas should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulated rains that may cause flash floods, overflows and landslides especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands.
