After poor humidity recovery that occurred Tuesday night, hot, dry, and windy conditions will develop today in response to strengthening northwest flow aloft. Abundant sunshine will produce strong atmospheric mixing with record and near record high temperatures. A few to 12 hours of single-digit humidity are also forecast in most locations. Poor humidity recovery will then recur tonight.
