  • WHAT: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

  • WHERE: A portion of southeast Florida, including the following counties, Broward and Miami-Dade.

  • WHEN: Until 800 AM EDT Thursday.

  • IMPACTS: Several structures are flooded. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems in urban areas. Local media and emergency management have reported water rescues.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

    • At 824 PM EDT, emergency management reported flooding in the warned area due to heavy rainfall from thunderstorms. Between 5 and 13 inches of rain have fallen.
    • Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible in the warned area.
    • Some locations that will experience flooding include, Miami, Hialeah, Fort Lauderdale, Pembroke Pines, Hollywood, Miramar, Pompano Beach, Davie, Miami Beach, Plantation, Sunrise, Tamarac, Margate, Coral Gables, Key Biscayne, South Miami, Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, Surfside, Miami Gardens and Hallandale.
