At 428 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen since early this morning. The expected rainfall rate is 2 to 3 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible in the warned area through 730 am. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

- Storms with locally heavy rainfall will increase in coverage during the overnight hours and likely linger early on Tuesday and possibly redevelop with heating as the weak front lifts back northward. Rainfall totals of 2 to 4 are expected with isolated higher amounts of 5 to 7 plus inches will be possible.
- Locations affected include our entire I-30 corridor and much of southern Arkansas, north of I-20 in northeast TX and along and south of I-20 in Louisiana.
