Heavy rainfall exceeding 20mm is expected to affect the western parts of Zambia including parts of Luapula, Northern, Muchinga and Eastern Provinces. Flash floods and flooding is expected especially in low lying areas.
Residents in these areas are advised to avoid crossing flooded points, and also take note of instructions from the disaster management and mitigation unit in areas where evacuation is planned.
