Illinois River at La Salle affecting La Salle, Putnam and Bureau Counties.
For the Illinois River (Upper),including La Salle,Minor flooding is forecast.

WHAT: Minor flooding is occurring and forecast to continue.

WHERE: Illinois River from Starved Rock Lock and Dam downstream to confluence with Big Bureau Creek, including the La Salle gauge.

WHEN: Until early Saturday afternoon.

IMPACTS: At 22.0 feet, Lower parking lot at Starved Rock State Park is inundated east of La Salle. High water levels begin to impact shipping interests along the river.

- At 8:45 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 23.2 feet.
- Forecast: The river has crested and will gradually fall through this weekend, and possibly fall below flood stage by early next week.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
