ABNORMALLY HIGH TIDES which may lead to sea water flooding of low-lying coastal areas likely between Southport and Tasman Island. Tides are likely to rise well above the normal high tide mark during Sunday evening high tide. Locations which may be affected include Hobart, Huonville, Geeveston, Dover, Dodges Ferry and Lauderdale.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
- Supervise children closely.
- Check that family and neighbours are aware of warnings.
- Manage pets and livestock.
- Do not walk, ride or drive through flood waters.
- Be prepared in case of power outages and report any outages to TasNetworks on 132 004.
- Listen to the ABC radio or check https://www.ses.tas.gov.au for further advice.
