- As of Wednesday afternoon rain and snowmelt are causing bankfull water levels along the Colville River.
Up to 1.5 inches of rain fell early in the week in the headwaters and rapidly melted the snowpack remaining in the Brooks Range.
The rain has ended and the Colville River at Umiat has crested as of Wednesday afternoon.
Areas downstream of Umiat will be seeing cresting water levels over the next 36 hours.
