Invest 95W, currently remains rated as "Medium" for development from the Joint Typhoon Warning Center. It's currently located just west- southwest of UJAE near 8.5N 165.2E. As this system continues to slowly develop over the next 72 hours, the threat for heavy rainfall will decrease for Majuro and the RMI. However, brief periods of locally heavy rainfall remain possible at Kosrae and Majuro for the next 24 to 36 hours (through Thursday evening). Winds gusts near 25 knots may also briefly occur as well. For Pohnpei, locally heavy rainfall and wind gusts will remain possible through Friday, possibly longer. 95W will head west- northwest. Given a forecast track well north of Pohnpei, heavier showers may be limited in duration and flooding potential, but still possible, particularly if 95W intensifies more quickly. Isolated wind gusts to 25 knots (30 mph) may also accompany any stronger shower or thunderstorm that develops. Residents across the Marshall Islands, Kosrae State and Pohnpei State should keep up to date with all forecasts from WFO Guam (weather.gov/gum) and listen for additional information from WSOs in Majuro and Pohnpei. Further information may be relayed from the NDMO in Majuro, DECEM in Pohnpei, and state DCOs in Pohnpei and Kosrae.
