HAZARDS AFFECTING COASTAL WATERS 24-Hour Sea Condition Outlook Coastal waters have forecast wave heights of less than 2.0 m. TRACK AND INTENSITY OUTLOOK It must be emphasized that heavy rainfall and severe winds may still be experienced in localities outside the landfall point and the forecast confidence cone. Refer to “Other Hazards affecting Land Areas” for more details. Furthermore, the track may still shift within the limit of the forecast confidence cone. Tropical Storm QUEENIE will generally move west northwestward until Friday (25 September) before turning north northeastward by Sunday (27 September) and will exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by Monday (28 September) morning or early afternoon. Afterwards it will move generally northeastward near the southern islands of Japan. This tropical cyclone will gradually intensify while inside PAR. It may reach typhoon category by Sunday (27 September).
