STORM INFORMATION: At 945 PM ChST,the center of Super Typhoon Sinlaku (04W) was located near latitude 14.9N,longitude 145.8E. This was about 15 miles east-southeast of Tinian, 15 miles south-southeast of Saipan and 120 miles northeast of Guam. Storm motion was north-northwest, 320 degrees, at 5 mph. Storm intensity was 150 mph.

SITUATION OVERVIEW: Super Typhoon Sinlaku (04W) is starting to make landfall on the eastern shores of Tinian and Saipan. The inner eyewall has winds up to 150 mph possible. Due to the slow forward speed, a prolong period of winds excess of 115 mph is expected as Sinlaku passes over or near Tinian and Saipan over the next few hours. Strong Tropical Storm force winds continue across Guam and Rota.
