At 338 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2.25 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. - A slow moving low pressure system will bring multiple rounds of heavy showers and thunderstorms to the area today through Wednesday. Average rainfall amounts are expected to be between 2.5 and 3.5 inches with localized higher amounts. Peak hourly rainfall rates could be as high as 2 to 3 inches in the heaviest showers and thunderstorms. Most of the rainfall is expected to fall through tonight, however flooding is still possible on Wednesday.
