Beginning Friday night and running through the weekend, snow will spread across the Eastern and Central Interior from southeast to northwest. Fairbanks North Star Borough west to Tanana and north to the White Mountains could broadly see snow accumulations of 4 to 6 inches. There is the potential for a band of higher accumulations of up to 8-12 inches of fluffy snow. The most likely area for these higher snow totals is from Manley Hot Springs east to just west of Ester, although there is considerable uncertainty. Residents should stay tuned for forecast updates.
