Locations Impacted

Middle Yukon Valley, Lower Koyukuk Valley, Lower Yukon Valley, and Innoko Valley.

Heavy rain is forecast to begin Monday afternoon. Rain should continue through Wednesday morning with storm total rainfall of up to 2 inches expected. With already saturated ground conditions across the region, the heavy rain may cause minor pooling/ponding of water beginning on Tuesday.

Mainstem river flooding is not expected, but high water levels and bankfull conditions are likely through the week as area rivers respond to the rain. Localized flooding on smaller creeks and streams is possible.

For more updated river information, please refer to water.noaa.gov or weather.gov/aprfc.
