The moderate southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, western part of Thailand and the Gulf while the low-pressure cell covers the North and the Northeast regions. Scattered heavy rains are likely in the country and isolated very heavy rains are possible in the North, the Northeast, the Central, the East and the South(west coast). People should beware of heavy to very heavy rains that may cause flash floods and overflows especially, along waterways and lowlands, and take more caution in thundershowers. The rather strong wind and waves in the upper Andaman Sea are likely 2 – 3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers while 1–2 meters high in the lower Andaman Sea and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. In the Gulf, the waves have about 1 meter high 1-2 meters high offshore and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers areas. Small boats in the upper Andaman Sea keep ashore.In addition, an active low-pressure cell over the lower Bay of Bengal will intensify to the tropical depression during 23 - 24 May. It is expected to make landfall over northeastern of India and Bangladesh during 25 - 26 May. The storm is no direct effect on Thailand’s weather. มรสุมตะวันตกเฉียงใต้กำลังปานกลางพัดปกคลุมทะเลอันดามัน ด้านตะวันตกของประเทศไทย และอ่าวไทย ประกอบกับ มีหย่อมความกดอากาศต่ำปกคลุมบริเวณภาคเหนือตอนล่าง และภาคกลางตอนบน ลักษณะเช่นนี้ทำให้ประเทศไทยมีฝนตกหนักหลายพื้นที่ และมีฝนตกหนักมากบางแห่ง ในภาคเหนือ ภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ ภาคกลาง ภาคตะวันออก และภาคใต้ฝั่งตะวันตก ขอให้ประชาชนในบริเวณดังกล่าวระวังอันตรายจากฝนตกหนักถึงหนักมากและฝนที่ตกสะสม ซึ่งอาจทำให้เกิดน้ำท่วมฉับพลันและน้ำป่าไหลหลาก โดยเฉพาะพื้นที่ลาดเชิงเขาใกล้ทางน้ำไหลผ่านและพื้นที่ลุ่ม รวมทั้งเพิ่มความระมัดระวังในการสัญจรผ่านบริเวณที่มี ฝนฟ้าคะนองไว้ด้วย สำหรับคลื่นลมบริเวณทะเลอันดามันตอนบนมีกำลังค่อนข้างแรง ส่วนทะเลอันดามันตอนล่าง และอ่าวไทยมีกำลังปานกลาง โดยทะเลอันดามันตอนบนมีคลื่นสูง 2 - 3 เมตร บริเวณที่มีฝนฟ้าคะนองคลื่นสูงมากกว่า 3 เมตร ทะเลอันดามันตอนล่างมีคลื่นสูง 1–2 เมตร บริเวณที่มีฝนฟ้าคะนองคลื่นสูงมากกว่า 2 เมตร ส่วนอ่าวไทยมีคลื่นสูงประมาณ 1 เมตร ห่างฝั่งคลื่นสูง 1–2 เมตร บริเวณที่มีฝนฟ้าคะนองคลื่นสูงมากกว่า 2 เมตร ขอให้ชาวเรือบริเวณทะเลอันดามันและอ่าวไทยเดินเรือ ด้วยความระมัดระวังและหลีกเลี่ยงการเดินเรือในบริเวณที่มีฝนฟ้าคะนองไว้ด้วย สำหรับชาวเรือบริเวณทะเลอันดามันตอนบนควรงดออกจากฝั่ง อนึ่ง หย่อมความกดอากาศต่ำกำลังแรงบริเวณอ่าวเบงกอลตอนล่างมีแนวโน้มจะมีกำลังแรงขึ้นเป็นพายุดีเปรสชันในช่วงวันที่ 23 - 24 พ.ค. 67 และคาดว่าจะ เคลื่อนขึ้นฝั่งบริเวณด้านตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือของประเทศอินเดียและประเทศบังคลาเทศในช่วงวันที่ 25 – 26 พ.ค. 67 โดยพายุนี้ไม่มีผลกระทบโดยตรงต่อลักษณะอากาศ ของประเทศไทย แต่จะส่งผลให้มรสุมตะวันตกเฉียงใต้ที่พัดปกคลุมทะเลอันดามัน ด้านตะวันตกของประเทศไทย และอ่าวไทยมีกำลังแรงขึ้น ลักษณะเช่นนี้ทำให้ในช่วงวันที่ 22 – 24 พ.ค. 67 ประเทศไทยมีฝนตกหนักหลายพื้นที่ โดยมีฝนตกหนักมากบางแห่ง ส่วนในช่วงวันที่ 23 – 26 พ.ค. 67 คลื่นลมบริเวณทะเลอันดามันตอนบนมีกำลัง ค่อนข้างแรง โดยมีคลื่นสูง 2-3 เมตร บริเวณที่มีฝนฟ้าคะนองคลื่นสูงมากกว่า 3 เมตร ทะเลอันดามันตอนล่างมีคลื่นสูงประมาณ 2 เมตร บริเวณที่มีฝนฟ้าคะนองคลื่นสูงมากกว่า 2 เมตร สำหรับอ่าวไทยทะเลมีคลื่นสูงประมาณ 1 เมตร ห่างฝั่งคลื่นสูง 1–2 เมตร บริเวณที่มีฝนฟ้าคะนองคลื่นสูงมากกว่า 2 เมตร ขอให้ชาวเรือบริเวณทะเลอันดามันและอ่าวไทยเดินเรือด้วยความระมัดระวังและหลีกเลี่ยงการเดินเรือในบริเวณที่มีฝนฟ้าคะนอง สำหรับชาวเรือบริเวณทะเลอันดามันตอนบนควรงดออกจากฝั่งในช่วงวันที่ 23 – 26 พ.ค. 67 นี้ไว้ด้วย
