A tropical cyclone will affect the locality. Winds of 39-61 kph or intermittent rains may be expected within 36 hours. THE LOW PRESSURE AREA WEST SOUTHWEST OF BATAAN HAS DEVELOPED INTO TROPICAL DEPRESSION “HENRY”. Location of eye/center : The center of Tropical Depression HENRY was estimated based on all available data at at 115 km West Southwest of Abucay, Bataan (14.5, 119.4). Strength : Maximum winds of 45 kph near the centerand gustiness of up to 55 kph. Forecast movement : Forecast to move Northwestward at 25 kph Forecast position : Jul 01, 2026 02:00 PM - 245 km West of Iba, Zambales Jul 02, 2026 02:00 AM - 505 km West Northwest of Iba, Zambales (OUTSIDE PAR) Jul 02, 2026 02:00 PM - 715 km North of Pag-asa Island, Kalayaan, Palawan (OUTSIDE PAR) Jul 03, 2026 02:00 AM - 890 km North Northwest of Southwestern Luzon (OUTSIDE PAR) Jul 03, 2026 02:00 PM - 1,080 km North Northwest of Southwestern Luzon (OUTSIDE PAR) HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND AREAS Heavy Rainfall Outlook Refer to Weather Advisory No. 12 issued at 5:00 AM today for the heavy rainfall outlook due to TC HENRY and the Southwest Monsoon. Severe Winds The wind signals warn the public of the general wind threat over an area due to the tropical cyclone. Local winds may be slightly stronger/enhanced in coastal and upland/mountainous areas exposed to winds. Winds are less strong in areas sheltered from the prevailing wind direction. Minimal to minor impacts from strong winds are possible within any of the areas under Wind Signal No. 1. The periphery of HENRY and the Southwest Monsoon will bring strong to gale-force gusts over the following areas (especially in coastal and upland areas exposed to winds): Today: Batanes, Cagayan, Ilocos Norte, Pangasinan, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Bulacan, Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan. Tomorrow (02 July): Batanes, Cagayan, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, and Palawan. Friday (03 July): Pangasinan, Zambales, and Palawan. HAZARDS AFFECTING COASTAL WATERS 24-Hour Sea Condition Outlook Up to moderate seas over the following coastal waters: Up to 2.5 m: The seaboards of Cagayan and Isabela; the western seaboards of Zambales, Bataan, and Lubang Islands Up to 2.0 m: The seaboards of Aurora and Batanes; the northern seaboard of Ilocos Norte; the western seaboards of La Union, Pangasinan, and Palawan. Mariners of motorbancas and similarly sized vessels are advised to take precautionary measures while venturing out to sea and, if possible, avoid navigation under these conditions. Other coastal waters have forecast wave heights of less than 2.0 m. TRACK AND INTENSITY OUTLOOK It must be emphasized that heavy rainfall and severe winds may still be experienced in localities outside the forecast confidence cone. Refer to “Other Hazards affecting Land Areas” for more details. Furthermore, the track may still shift within the limit of the forecast confidence cone. HENRY is forecast to move generally west northwestward while moving away from the Philippine landmass. It may exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by tomorrow morning (02 July). HENRY will gradually intensify while traversing the West Philippine Sea and may reach tropical storm category by tomorrow morning. Afterwards, it is forecast to remain as a tropical storm throughout the remainder of the forecast period.
