  • WHAT: Dangerously cold wind chills ranging from zero to 10 below zero are expected.

  • WHERE: A portion of west central Texas.

  • WHEN: From 6 PM this evening to noon CST Monday.

  • IMPACTS: The dangerously cold wind chills could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures. An extended period of freezing temperatures could cause ruptured water pipes.

Instruções:

Wear protective clothing such as a hat, face mask, and heavy gloves or mittens if you have plans to be outdoors. To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
