Temperatures will quickly drop in to the 20s this evening and into the teens after midnight. With the arrival of darkness, the refreezing of residual moisture and slush on area roadways and walkways will result in slippery travel conditions. Icy spots may not be widespread but those traveling this evening through at least daybreak Tuesday should be on the lookout for rapidly changing conditions and patches of ice. Icy patches may be more common on bridges, shaded and sheltered locations where snow and sleet did not fully melt, and anywhere accumulatons of snow and ice were not removed or melted.
