Imaginile satelitare Meteosat pentru Europa sunt actualizate în timp real la fiecare 5 minute. Imaginile GOES-16/GOES-17 (America de Nord și de Sud) și Himawari (Asia) se actualizează la fiecare 10 minute.
Precipitațiile sunt estimate pe baza radarului și a sateliților. Estimările de precipitații provenite de la sateliți sunt mai puțin precise noaptea decât în timpul zilei.
