2020: Off to a good start

We have added a new high-resolution model for North America and now provide a layer selection for the precipitation radar

We hope all meteoblue customers and users had a good start into the new decade. meteoblue wants to start 2020 off right and added two exciting improvements.

The meteoblue multimodel now shows GEM2, the weather model of the Recherche en Prévision Numérique (RPN), Meteorological Research Branch (MRB), and the Canadian Meteorological Centre (CMC), for Canada and parts of the U.S. in high resolution. The GEM2 model is updated twice daily, producing a weather forecast for the next 48 hours at a resolution of 2.5 km. It is a short-range forecasting model that has been developed to meet the operational weather forecasting needs of Canada for years to come.

Users in Europe can now choose whether they want to view precipitation on the current satellite images of a selected location. The option “Show precipitation on satellite images” is on top of the current satellite images in the 7-day and current weather displays, respectively.

We look forward to providing you with the best weather services also in 2020.
