Same Hazard, Different Risk: Free Webinar on Property-Level Risk

Објављено од Oleksandra (meteoblue)

The same climate hazard can pose very different risks to people, infrastructure and other assets, depending on their exposure and vulnerability.

Heavy rain is a hazard; the risk of getting soaked depends on whether you are outside and how well protected you are. Physical climate risk works in much the same way. Hazard data describes potentially damaging conditions, while exposure identifies the people and assets that could be affected. Vulnerability describes how susceptible they are to harm. Together, these factors shape risk: the potential adverse consequences, considering their likelihood and severity. Our speakers will explain how this applies to real estate.

This connection is the focus of a free 60-minute webinar hosted by meteoblue and Arcadis on Thursday, 19 November 2026, from 15:00 to 16:00 CET.

From climate hazard to property level climate risk

Knowing which climate hazards an asset may face is only the starting point. Combining our climate expertise with Arcadis’s experience in risk assessment and adaptation, we will show how to turn that knowledge into a clearer picture of potential impacts and priorities for action.

You will gain practical insights to support portfolio screening, detailed asset assessments and adaptation planning, with a Q&A at the end to discuss your questions with the speakers.

Who should attend

The session is designed for real estate investors, asset managers, property owners and portfolio managers, as well as sustainability and climate-risk professionals and organisations responsible for resilience across real estate portfolios. It will be particularly useful for those seeking to understand what climate data can tell them, where property-specific information is needed, and how both can support investment and adaptation decisions.
