IMPACTS: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris.

- 3 to 5 inches of additional rain is forecast in the watch area from Monday afternoon through Tuesday. Local amounts of up to 8 inches are possible. Where this rain occurs quickly, flash flooding would be the result.

At 119 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from near Big Lagoon to 84 nm south of Oriskany Reef, moving east at 40 knots.
HAZARD,Waterspouts and wind gusts to nearly 50 knots.

IMPACT,Waterspouts can quickly form and capsize boats,damage vessels,and create suddenly higher waves. Make sure all on board are in a secure location and wearing life jackets. Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots,suddenly higher waves,frequent lightning,and heavy downpours. Make sure all on board are wearing life jackets.

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.
