ADDITIONAL DETAILS: There may be a tight gradient in the northern extent of the heavy snow. Portions of the I-35 corridor will see heavy snow while others will not see high totals. At this time the most likely areas to see 5 to 7 inches of snow are from Cloquet south to Pine City. Duluth may only see 4 to 6 inches. Snow rates of 0.5 to 1.5 inches per hour are expected this afternoon and evening from Moose Lake south to Pine City between 4 and 8 pm. The heavy snow will be falling during the evening commute and will create additional travel difficulties.
