SNOW FOR THE PANHANDLE CONTINUES
- The long duration snow event is ongoing as a band of moderate snowfall is tracking inland today. This band is bringing snow for those along the coast and to the Icy Strait Corridor area. The snow will continue through tonight and early Tuesday morning. Farther south, snow showers are expected for the central panhandle for Monday afternoon into Monday night. Placement of these showers is highly uncertain, but has been pinned down from northern Prince of Wales Island up to around Petersburg. While snow showers could certainly develop outside of this area, highest likelihood, based on latest analysis, have prompted Winter Weather Advisories for northern Prince of Wales and Petersburg for tonight.
