- At 118 PM HST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain over Puna and South Hilo districts. Rain was falling at a rate of 1 to 2 inches per hour with the heaviest rain near Glenwood and Mountain View. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include, Hilo, Hawaiian Paradise Park, Mountain View, Glenwood, Keaau, Hawaiian Acres, Orchidlands Estates, Volcano, Papaikou, Pahoa and Pepeekeo.

A trough over the eastern half of the state will continue to focus return showers to the islands through the day. Pockets of heavy rain and isolated thunderstorms may produce flash flooding over Maui and Hawaii Counties.

- A trough continues to lay over the eastern half of the state within a very moist and fairly unstable environment. Energy moving up from the southwest may initiate return periods of moderate to locally heavy rainfall. This rain has a high probability of focusing on Maui and Hawaii Counties. Locally moderate to heavy showers, with possible isolated thunderstorms, may produce short-lived intense rain rates through the day.
