EVIABQ The following message is transmitted at the request of the San Miguel County and City of Las Vegas, NM Emergency Management. There is a mandatory evacuation for the following areas: NM State Highway 65 from Mile Marker 4 south along Hot Springs Blvd, the Las Vigiles area, Fountain Drive, Willow Lane, Stella Lane, Lucille Drive, Llano Road, and Cinder Road to Mills Avenue. Two shelters have been set up. On the east side of Las Vegas, proceed to McFarland Hall at the corner of 5th and Friedman streets. On the west side, the Las Vegas Senior Center at 500 Sabino Street (not the recreation center) is open. Make accommodations for overnight stays. City officials will provide notification when it is safe to return.

WHERE: Portions of north central and northeast New Mexico, including the following counties, in north central New Mexico, east central Santa Fe. In northeast New Mexico, northwestern San Miguel. This includes the upper headwaters of the Pecos River and the creeks and streams feeding into it, as well as the drainages farther southwest near Glorieta and Lamy.

IMPACTS: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. River or stream flows are elevated.

- At 932 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1.25 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.75 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include, Eldorado At Santa Fe, Pecos, Glorieta, Canada De Los Alamos, Lamy, Rowe, Tererro and Cowles.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Do not camp along streams and rivers. Remain alert when hiking in steep, narrow canyons. Know where you are relative to low spots and drainages.
