- Light snow will continue spreading eastward over central and southern MN into western WI this morning, persisting throughout the day today, with moderate intensity at times. Snow will then gradually diminish from west to east across MN into WI this evening through early morning Sunday.
Several inches of accumulation, including over 6 inches of total accumulation near and south of a line from Redwood Falls to Le Sueur to Cannon Falls MN, will likely lead to travel impacts through tonight. The heaviest snow will fall around the Interstate 90 corridor in southern Minnesota, with upwards of 10 inches of total accumulation through late tonight possible. Lighter amounts are expected from west central Minnesota through the Twin Cities metro through Bloomer WI and points northward of that line.
Overall, travelers should use extra caution and allow for extra travel time, including the possibility of moderate prolonged snowfall at times, which may lead to hazardous travel conditions.
