ภาคใต้มีฝนฟ้าคะนองหลายพื้นที่มีฝนตกหนักบางแห่ง ส่วนประเทศไทยตอนบนมีฝนน้อย โดยภาคเหนือ และภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือเริ่มมีอากาศเย็นในตอนเช้า กับมีลมแรง และอุณหภูมิจะลดลง เนื่องจากบริเวณความกดอากาศสูงกำลังปานกลางจากประเทศจีนได้แผ่ลงมาปกคลุม ประเทศเวียดนามตอนบนและประเทศลาวตอนบนแล้ว คาดว่าจะแผ่ลงมาปกคลุมบริเวณภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือตอนบนในคืนนี้ (21 ต.ค. 68) ในขณะที่ลมตะวันออกพัดปกคลุมอ่าวไทย ภาคใต้ และทะเลอันดามัน ประกอบกับร่องมรสุมพาดผ่านภาคใต้ตอนกลาง สำหรับบริเวณทะเลอันดามันและอ่าวไทยมีคลื่นสูงประมาณ 1 เมตร บริเวณที่มีฝนฟ้าคะนองคลื่นสูงมากกว่า 2 เมตร ขอให้ชาวเรือเดินเรือด้วยความระมัดระวัง และหลีกเลี่ยงการเดินเรือในบริเวณที่มีฝนฟ้าคะนอง อนึ่ง พายุโซนร้อน “เฟิงเฉิน” บริเวณทะเลจีนใต้ตอนบน มีแนวโน้มจะทวีกำลังแรงขึ้นและเคลื่อนเข้าใกล้ตอนใต้ของเกาะไหหลำ ประเทศจีน และชายฝั่งประเทศเวียดนามตอนกลางในช่วงวันที่ 22-23 ต.ค. 68 หลังจากนั้นจะอ่อนกำลังลงอย่างรวดเร็วตามลำดับ เนื่องจากมีมวลอากาศเย็นจากประเทศจีนแผ่ลงมาปกคลุมประเทศเวียดนามตอนบนและทะเลจีนใต้ตอนบน ในช่วงวันดังกล่าว โดยพายุนี้ไม่เคลื่อนเข้าสู่ประเทศไทย
ขอให้ประชาชนบริเวณภาคใต้โดยเฉพาะบริเวณจังหวัดสุราษฎร์ธานี นครศรีธรรมราช พัทลุง สงขลา และปัตตานี ระวังอันตรายจากฝนฟ้าคะนอง ฝนตกหนัก และฝนที่ตกสะสม รวมทั้งเพิ่มความระมัดระวังในการสัญจรผ่านบริเวณที่มีน้ำท่วมขังในระยะนี้ไว้ด้วย ส่วนประชาชนบริเวณประเทศไทยตอนบน โดยเฉพาะภาคเหนือ และภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ ดูแลรักษาสุขภาพเนื่องจากสภาพอากาศที่เปลี่ยนแปลง
The moderate high-pressure system from China extends to upper Vietnam and upper Laos, expected to cover the upper Northeast by tonight (21 Oct) with less rains in the upper country while morning cool and decrease in temperature with strong wind are possible in the North and the Northeast. Meanwhile the monsoon through lies across the middle South with the easterly wind prevail over the Gulf, the South and the Andaman Sea with torrential rainfall and isolated heavy rains in the South.The wind and waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand are expected about 1 meter high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershower areas. In addition, tropical storm “FENGSHEN” over the upper South China Sea is forecasted to intensify and move near the south of Hainan, China and the central coastal of Vietnam during 22-23 Oct. After that, it will downgrade rapidly due to the extending of the high-pressure system from China to upper Vietnam and upper South China Sea. This storm is not move to Thailand.
People in the South should beware of thundershower, heavy rains and its accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands. Avoiding travelling pass the recurring flooding areas. People in the upper Thailand especially in the North and the Northeast should keep healthy due to changeable weather.
