  • WHERE: Portions of Louisiana, including the following parishes, Lafayette, Northern Acadia, Northern Calcasieu, Northern Jefferson Davis, Southern Acadia, Southern Calcasieu, Southern Jefferson Davis, St. Landry, Upper Iberia, Upper St. Martin and Upper Vermilion and southeast Texas, including the following areas, Lower Jefferson, Northern Orange, Southern Orange and Upper Jefferson.

  • WHEN: Through Tuesday morning.

  • IMPACTS: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

    • Additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected to affect the region again today into tonight. Portions of the area received 2 to 4 inches of rainfall Sunday, and an additional 1 to 3 inches is expected today, along with localized higher amounts. With the ground saturated from previous rains yesterday and over the past couple of weeks, any additional rain will increase runoff, resulting in an increased risk for flooding.

  • WHAT: Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.

  • WHERE: Neches River at Neches River Saltwater Barrier.

  • WHEN: Until further notice.

  • IMPACTS: At 8.0 feet, Widespread flooding, especially in Northwest Orange County from Lake View downstream to the Saltwater Barrier. Several homes and camps are flooded or threatend.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

    • At 10:15 AM CDT Monday the stage was 7.7 feet.
    • Recent Activity: The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:15 AM CDT Monday was 8.1 feet.
    • Forecast: The river is expected to fall to 7.5 feet Saturday morning.
    • Flood stage is 4.0 feet.
