    • Rainfall amounts of 8 to 14 inches with isolated amounts up to 20 inches have fallen over portions of South Florida since Tuesday morning. Additional amounts of 2 to 4 inches of rainfall are forecast through Friday with locally higher amounts possible. These additional rainfall amounts will be capable of producing additional flooding on top of the ongoing flooding across portions of South Florida.

At 155 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Jupiter Inlet to Lighthouse Point to Hallandale to Triumph Reef, moving northeast at 15 knots.

The areas affected include... Biscayne Bay... Coastal waters from Deerfield Beach to Ocean Reef FL out 20 NM... Coastal waters from Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach FL out 20 NM... Waters from Deerfield Beach to Ocean Reef FL from 20 to 60 NM excluding the territorial waters of Bahamas... Waters from Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach FL from 20 to 60 NM... At 155 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots.   • IMPACTS: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

    • At 140 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
    • Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
    • Some locations that will experience flooding include, Fort Lauderdale, Coral Springs, Pompano Beach, Plantation, Sunrise, Deerfield Beach, Tamarac, Margate, Lighthouse Point, Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, Lauderhill, Coconut Creek, Oakland Park, North Lauderdale, Lauderdale Lakes, Wilton Manors, Hillsboro Beach, Sea Ranch Lakes, Lazy Lake and Twin Lakes.
