- Showers and a few thunderstorms will continue in parts of the area through the morning, some with very heavy rainfall. Rainfall rates between 1 to 3 inches per hour can be expected with some of these showers and storms, and areas that see repeated or prolonged periods of heavy rain will be especially at risk for flash flooding.
