IMPACTS: Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. High water may recede slowly from flooded areas.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
- At 507 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated that heavy rain fell across the advisory area earlier today. Lingering, localized minor flooding is ongoing in some parts of the advisory area.
- Some locations that may experience flooding include, Chicago, Aurora, Naperville, Cicero, Bolingbrook, Berwyn, Wheaton, Oak Park, Downers Grove, Elmhurst, Lombard, Romeoville, Plainfield, Woodridge, Oswego, Midway Airport, Austin, South Lawndale and Chicago Lawn.

IMPACTS: Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Area creeks and streams are already elevated, increasing the risk of flooding due to additional rainfall.

- A slow moving weather system may bring additional periods of heavy showers and embedded thunderstorms which may lead to localized flooding. Portions of the Flood Watch have already received 2 to locally 4 inches of rainfall and are more susceptible to renewed flash flooding if and where additional heavy rain occurs through early this evening.
