  • WHERE: Portions of central, north central, and northeast New Mexico, including the following areas, in central New Mexico, South Central Mountains. In north central New Mexico, East Slopes Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Glorieta Mesa Including Glorieta Pass and Southern Sangre de Cristo Mountains. In northeast New Mexico, Far Northeast Highlands and Northeast Highlands.

  • WHEN: From 3 PM MDT this afternoon through late tonight.

  • IMPACTS: Heavy rainfall over the Hermits Peak and Calf Canyon, McBride, Blue 2 and nearby burned areas is expected up to and during the period of the watch. Residents near these burn scars and freshly burned area should prepare for potential flooding impacts. Be sure to stay up to date with information from local authorities. Heavy rainfall could trigger flash flooding of low-lying areas, urbanized street flooding, and debris flows in and near recent wildfire burn scars.
