- Critical fire weather conditions today focus over west central portions of the state, with elevated to near critical conditions prevailing elsewhere. Isolated dry storms in central and northern New Mexico this afternoon may start new fires and create gusty and erratic outflow wind gusts.
The National Weather Service in Albuquerque NM has issued a Red Flag Warning in effect from 1 PM this afternoon to 7 PM MDT this evening.
