Aside from the choppy lake waters, motorists in high profile vehicles can expect strong cross winds at times. * Much colder temperatures today with highs this afternoon staying in the 60s to lower 70s. Clearing skies, very dry air and decreasing winds will allow for temperatures to fall to chilly levels overnight. Sierra valleys and even some colder lower valleys, such as the Carson and Smith valleys, have a good chance of seeing several hours of freezing temperatures. Consider protecting sensitive plants tonight and early Tuesday morning if you live in a typically colder location.
