Before leaving home, find information about the drivability of roads, as some road sections may be impassable. Fill up your tank with fuel. Take more time to travel and adjust your driving to road conditions. Expect major hold-ups and potential obstacles. Have some food and drinks and a warm blanket in your vehicle. Do not go on tours in medium and high mountain ranges. Count on possible snow falling from roofs. It is recommended that you follow meteorological updates.

The real-time satellite image combines visible light during daytime with infrared radiation during nighttime. At night, the image is not dark as infrared radiation can detect temperature differences. Unfortunately, low clouds and fog are difficult to distinguish from ground temperatures and thus can be almost invisible during the night.
