Cyclone Maha

Cyclone Maha is a strong storm at the moment with wind speeds up to 160 km/h. It will weaken, moving its way to the northwest Indian coast.

Since forming in the Arabian Sea last week the system has remained offshore, but heavy rain from Maha has been felt in India. As it moves closer to the Indian coast, heavy rain and strong winds will be expected.

Last week there were two cyclones (Kyarr and Maha) occurring simultaneously in the Arabian Sea. This was the first recorded case since 1965.

In our windmap you can follow the path of Maha.
