ABNORMALLY HIGH TIDES which may lead to sea water flooding of low-lying coastal areas likely between Southport and Maria Island. Tides are likely to rise well above the normal high tide mark during the Monday evening high tide. Locations which may be affected include Hobart, Bruny Island, Clifton Beach, Huonville, Geeveston, Dover, Southport, Dodges Ferry, Maria Island, Orford, Triabunna, Eaglehawk Neck, Port Arthur and Lauderdale. The high tide on Monday evening is expected to be about as high as that of the 24th of June 2025 - similar inundation impacts are possible.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
- Supervise children closely.
- Check that family and neighbours are aware of warnings.
- Manage pets and livestock.
- Do not walk, ride or drive through flood waters.
- Be prepared in case of power outages and report any outages to TasNetworks on 132 004.
- Listen to the ABC radio or check https://www.ses.tas.gov.au for further advice.
- For emergency assistance contact the SES on 132500.

Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, showers and westerly winds are expected during Monday. Areas likely to be affected include parts of the Upper Derwent Valley and South East forecast districts. There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.
