Strength : Maximum winds of 45 kph near the centerand gustiness of up to 70 kph. Forecast movement : Forecast to move West Northwestward at 15 kph Forecast position : May 26, 2024 05:00 AM - In the vicinity of Sariaya, Quezon May 26, 2024 05:00 PM - Over the coastal waters of General Nakar, Quezon May 27, 2024 05:00 AM - Over the coastal waters of Dilasag, Aurora May 27, 2024 05:00 PM - 210 km East of Aparri, Cagayan May 28, 2024 05:00 AM - 360 km East of Calayan, Cagayan May 28, 2024 05:00 PM - 565 km East Northeast of Basco, Batanes May 29, 2024 05:00 PM - 1,460 km East Northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon (OUTSIDE PAR) HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND AREAS Heavy Rainfall Outlook Forecast accumulated rainfall: From tonight to tomorrow evening 100-200 mm: Quezon including Polillo Islands, the eastern portions of Laguna and Rizal, Marinduque, Romblon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Catanduanes 50-100 mm: Eastern portion of Isabela, Aurora, Metro Manila, the rest of CALABARZON, Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, and the northern portion of Western Visayas Forecast accumulated rainfall: From tomorrow evening to Monday evening 100-200 mm: Quezon including Polillo Islands, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Catanduanes. 50-100 mm: Aurora, the eastern portions of Isabela, Laguna, Rizal, Albay, and the northern portion of Masbate including Burias Island Forecast rainfall are generally higher in elevated or mountainous areas. Under these conditions, flooding and rain-induced landslides are possible especially in areas that are highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards as identified in hazard maps and in localities that experienced considerable amounts of rainfall for the past several days. Severe Winds  The wind signals warn the public of the general wind threat over an area due to the tropical cyclone. Local winds may be slightly stronger/enhanced in coastal and upland/mountainous areas exposed to winds. Winds are less strong in areas sheltered from the prevailing wind direction. Minimal to minor impacts from strong winds are possible within any of the areas under Wind Signal No. 1. Other areas in CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Central Luzon, and Cagayan Valley may be placed under Wind Signal No.1 in the next bulletin. The highest possible Wind Signal that may be hoisted during the passage of AGHON is Wind Signal No. 2. HAZARDS AFFECTING COASTAL WATERS Tonight: AGHON will bring moderate to rough seas (1.5 to 3.5 m) over the coastal waters along the seaboards of CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, and the northern seaboards of Western Visayas. Mariners of motor bancas and similarly-sized vessels are advised to take precautionary measures while venturing out to sea and, if possible, avoid navigating in these conditions, especially if inexperienced or operating ill-equipped vessels. TRACK AND INTENSITY OUTLOOK AGHON is forecast to move generally northwestward over Sibuyan Sea and Tayabas Bay, and may possibly make landfall over Marinduque within the next 12 hours. During this period, weakening into Low Pressure Area (LPA) is not ruled out. AGHON will then continue to move northwestward and may possibly make another landfall over Batangas or Quezon and traverse CALABARZON area. Re-intensification is possible and it may reach tropical storm category by tomorrow as AGHON emerges over Polillo Strait. Around tomorrow afternoon or evening, AGHON will begin to recurve towards the northeast.  As it moves over the Philippine Sea, the tropical cyclone is forecast to continuously intensify and may reach typhoon category on Wednesday. On the track forecast, AGHON may exit the PAR region no earlier than Tuesday.

Under present weather conditions, At 3:00 PM today, the center of Tropical Depression "AGHON" was estimated based on all available data over the coastal waters of Sibuyan Island (12.7°N, 122.8°E) with maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 70 km/h. It is moving West Northwestward at 20 km/h. The 12-hour rainfall forecast is moderate to heavy rains and thunderstorms. WATERCOURSES LIKELY TO BE AFFECTED : + **Occidental Mindoro** - Rivers and its tributaries particularly Abra De Ilog, Caguray, Labangan, Lumintao, Anahawin, Monpong, Amnay, Pola, Pagbahan, Mamburao, Ibod, and Bugsanga-Magbando. + **Palawan** - Rivers and its tributaries particularly Abongan, Lian, Barbakan, Rizal, Caramay, Langogan, Babuyan, Bacungan, Iwahig Penal, Inagauan, Aborlan, Malatgao, Apurauan, Baton-Baton, Aramaywan, Ihawig, Panitian, Pulot, Lamakan, Kinlugan, Eraan, Tiga Plan, Malabangan, Ilog, Bansang, Conduaga, Culasian, Iwahig (Brookes), Okayan, Canipaan and Busuanga, Coron. + **Marinduque** - Rivers and its tributaries particularly Tawiran-Tagum (Marinduque) and Boac. + **Romblon** - All rivers and its tributaries + **Oriental Mindoro** - Rivers and its tributaries particularly Malaylay-Baco, Pulang Tubig, Mag-asawang Tubig, Butas, Pula, Agsalin, Bansud, Sumagui, Bongabong, Baroc, Bulalacao and Balete.
