  • WHAT: Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

  • WHERE: A portion of southeast Texas, including the following counties, Hardin, Jefferson and Orange.

  • WHEN: Until midnight CDT tonight.

  • IMPACTS: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

    • At 214 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to Runoff from earlier rainfall. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area.
    • Some locations that will experience flooding include, Beaumont, Port Arthur, Orange, Nederland, Groves, Port Neches, Vidor, Bridge City, West Orange, Nome, Central Gardens, Hamshire, Mauriceville, Bevil Oaks, China, Rose City, Pine Forest, Southeast Texas Regional Airport, Port Acres and La Belle.

  • WHAT: Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.

  • WHERE: Neches River at Neches River Saltwater Barrier.

  • WHEN: Until further notice.

  • IMPACTS: At 10.0 feet, Major flooding along the river including Northwest Orange County From Lake View to the Saltwater Barrier with several homes and camps flooded. Flooding is also occurring along the river in Beaumont with major flooding at Colliers Ferry Park and around the Beaumont Country Club. Residential roads off of Pine Street are impassable and water up to homes. Several streets in Northeast Beaumont also become flooded.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

    • At 2:15 PM CDT Friday the stage was 9.5 feet.
    • Recent Activity: The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 2:15 PM CDT Friday was 9.5 feet.
    • Forecast: The river is expected to rise to a crest of 9.8 feet just after midnight tonight.
    • Flood stage is 4.0 feet.
