- An ice jam has been reported by the River Watch team along the Yukon River near the mouth of the Yuki River. This indicates that local ice is more resistant to breakup. As the front progresses towards Galena residents should be prepared for the possibility of an ice jam downstream of Galena including near Bishop Rock.
As of 5pm Wednesday the ice jam at the mouth of the Yuki River was reported as still in place by the River Watch Team. Water continues to back up behind the jam.
