An active rainstorm approaching Ghana from Togo is expected to affect most places over southern Ghana from 9:00 pm to 4:00 am tomorrow with moderate to heavy thunderstorms. Gusty winds are expected to accompany the rainstorm.
Avoid taking shelter under weak structures. Move to higher grounds if possible to be safe from flash floods. Motorists traveling overnight are cautioned to drive within speed limit and use fog lights due to poor visibility and slippery roads.
A rainstorm is approaching the Volta region from southern Benin. The storm is expected to bring moderate to heavy rains to the Volta, Oti, Eastern and Greater Accra regions tonight into dawn tomorrow. The Volta and Oti regions are expected to be affected between 9pm and Midnight. The Eastern and Greater Accra regions are expected to be affected between 10pm and 2am. The storm is likely to spread to parts of the Cental, Ashanti, Western, Bono East and Western north regions later in the night.
Residents in the affected regions are advised to take precautionary measures ahead of the approaching rains. Avoid outdoor activities during heavy downpours, and stay clear of flooded roads and waterways.
