IMPACT,Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include, Ville Platte, Turkey Creek, Palmetto, Morrow, Bayou Chicot, Goudeau, Indian Lake, Chicot State Park, Whiteville, Big Cane, Dupont, Lebeau, and St. Landry.
This includes Interstate 49 between mile markers 32 and 49.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

- Additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected to affect the region again today into tonight. Portions of the area received 2 to 4 inches of rainfall Sunday, and an additional 1 to 3 inches is expected today, along with localized higher amounts. With the ground saturated from previous rains yesterday and over the past couple of weeks, any additional rain will increase runoff, resulting in an increased risk for flooding.
