A prolonged period of heat is continuing over South Australia this week. Maximum temperatures in the mid thirties to mid forties on Friday, dropping to the low to mid twenties in the south and the mid thirties to low forties in the north over the weekend. Overnight minimum temperatures dropping to the low to mid teens in the south and west from Friday night, continuing in the high teens to low twenties in the north. Severe heatwave conditions have eased over the West Coast, Lower Eyre Peninsula and Yorke Peninsula following the passage of a cool change and are expected to ease elsewhere by the weekend as milder conditions prevail. Locations likely to be impacted include Clare, Coober Pedy, Leigh Creek, Mount Barker, Murray Bridge, Port Pirie, Port Augusta, Renmark, Roxby Downs and the Barossa Valley.
