Severe heatwave conditions will intensify and extend through most of southern QLD during the weekend, and are expected to persist well into next week. Locations likely to be impacted include Brisbane Metropolitan Area, Birdsville, Dalby, Goondiwindi, Gympie, Roma, Stanthorpe, Thargomindah, Toowoomba and Warwick.
River levels are generally easing along Theresa Creek and the Nogoa River, well below flood levels.
