Atmospheric conditions are expected to be favorable for producing high levels of ozone pollution in the Houston, Galveston, and surrounding areas on Tuesday. You can help prevent ozone pollution by sharing a ride, walking, riding a bicycle, taking your lunch to work, avoiding drive through lanes, conserving energy and keeping your vehicle properly tuned.

WHAT: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.

WHERE: A portion of southeast Texas, including the following areas, Brazos, Grimes, Houston, Madison, Montgomery, Northern Liberty, Polk, San Jacinto, Trinity and Walker.

WHEN: Until 7 PM CDT this evening.

IMPACTS: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
- Scattered thunderstorms will continue to develop this afternoon and evening. Portions of the area have received 2-4" of rainfall, and an additional 1-3" with some locally higher totals is possible through late tonight. With soils already saturated from the multiple previous heavy rainfall events that have recently impacted the area, Flash Flood Guidance remains relatively low.
