- Southwest winds will increase Wednesday ahead of a disturbance over the Great Basin. 20 foot winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts of 35 to 40 mph, relative humidity falling to or below 10 percent for a few hours, high Haines and dry fine fuels will likely result in critical fire weather conditions late Wednesday morning through early evening. Critical fire weather conditions wane after sunset as winds taper off and relative humidity rises.
