ภาคใต้มีฝนฟ้าคะนองหลายพื้นที่ และมีฝนตกหนักบางแห่ง ส่วนประเทศไทยตอนบนมีฝนน้อย โดยภาคเหนือ และภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือเริ่มมีอากาศเย็นในตอนเช้า กับมีลมแรง และอุณหภูมิจะลดลง เนื่องจากบริเวณความกดอากาศสูงกำลังปานกลางจากประเทศจีนได้แผ่ลงมาปกคลุม บริเวณภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือตอนบนแล้ว ในขณะที่ลมตะวันออกพัดปกคลุมอ่าวไทย และภาคใต้ ประกอบกับร่องมรสุมพาดผ่านภาคใต้ตอนกลาง สำหรับบริเวณทะเลอันดามันและอ่าวไทยมีคลื่นสูงประมาณ 1 เมตร บริเวณที่มีฝนฟ้าคะนองคลื่นสูงมากกว่า 2 เมตร อนึ่ง พายุโซนร้อน “เฟิงเฉิน” บริเวณทะเลจีนใต้ตอนบน ได้ทวีกำลังแรงขึ้นเป็นพายุโซนร้อนกำลังแรงแล้ว คาดว่าจะเคลื่อนขึ้นฝั่งบริเวณประเทศเวียดนามตอนกลางในช่วงวันที่ 22-23 ต.ค. 68 หลังจากนั้นจะอ่อนกำลังลงอย่างรวดเร็วตามลำดับ เนื่องจากมีมวลอากาศเย็นจากประเทศจีนแผ่ลงมาปกคลุมประเทศเวียดนามตอนบนและทะเลจีนใต้ตอนบน ในช่วงวันดังกล่าว โดยพายุนี้ไม่เคลื่อนเข้าสู่ประเทศไทย
ขอให้ประชาชนบริเวณภาคใต้โดยเฉพาะบริเวณจังหวัดสุราษฎร์ธานี นครศรีธรรมราช พัทลุง สงขลา และปัตตานี ระวังอันตรายจากฝนฟ้าคะนอง ฝนตกหนัก และฝนที่ตกสะสม รวมทั้งเพิ่มความระมัดระวังในการสัญจรผ่านบริเวณที่มีน้ำท่วมขังในระยะนี้ไว้ด้วย ส่วนประชาชนบริเวณประเทศไทยตอนบน โดยเฉพาะภาคเหนือ และภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ ดูแลรักษาสุขภาพเนื่องจากสภาพอากาศที่เปลี่ยนแปลง ขอให้ชาวเรือเดินเรือด้วยความระมัดระวัง และหลีกเลี่ยงการเดินเรือในบริเวณที่มีฝนฟ้าคะนอง
The moderate high-pressure system from China extends to the upper Northeast, bringing isolated rain to upper Thailand.
