At 1117 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

- Some locations that will experience flash flooding include, Aurora, Naperville, Wheaton, Downers Grove, Elmhurst, Lombard, Carol Stream, Addison, Glendale Heights, Woodridge, Oswego, Glen Ellyn, West Chicago, Batavia, Yorkville, Hinsdale, Plano, Oak Brook, Westmont and Lisle.
This includes the following streams and drainages, Tributaries on DuPage and Fox Rivers.

- At 119 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen.
- The heaviest rainfall has already fallen, but an additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible over the area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include, Chicago, Aurora, Naperville, Elgin, Cicero, Arlington Heights, Evanston, Schaumburg, Bolingbrook, Skokie, Des Plaines, Berwyn, Mount Prospect, Wheaton, Hoffman Estates, Oak Park, Downers Grove, Glenview, Elmhurst and Lombard.
