At 511 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

In western Texas, Borden, Crane, Dawson, Ector, Glasscock, Howard, Martin, Midland, Mitchell, Reagan, Reeves County Plains, Scurry, Upton and Ward.

IMPACTS: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible.

- Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms will develop this afternoon and evening and again on Friday over the Permian Basin, Trans Pecos, Davis Mountains, Marfa Plateau and Big Bend region as an upper level low slowly moves westward over the region. Localized rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches with isolated amounts over 4 inches will be possible with the heaviest showers and thunderstorms that develop. Heavy rainfall over a short period of time may result in flash flooding.
